This video shows the start of Responsible Education and Development’s “Advanced Start” program for three and four-year old children and their parents living in urban generational poverty.  “Advanced Start” is a unique parental engagement and early childhood education program that instills positive values and a commitment to education to end the cycle of poverty.  The program’s academic component is a unique math-first arithmetic and reading curriculum that incorporates evidence-based Asian teaching methods that produce the world’s highest math scores.  The program’s short-term objective is for “Advanced Start” children to begin school ahead of grade level.  The long-term objective is to end generational poverty for the families we serve.
